Did Someone Say Free 2024 Chicken Planner & Calendar?
Yup!
We’ve launched our Referral Program to help grow the BFL’s Daily Dozen flock and as a way of thanks for all your support over 2023!
What’s usually $7.95 on Etsy (see the full details here) - We’re giving away for free for anyone who refers at least one fellow chicken addict to our email newsletter.
All you need to do is click on “Click To Share” or copy your unique referral code (see below, under “Share BFL’s Daily Dozen) and get ONE other chicken lover to subscribe to BFL’s Daily Dozen.
Once a referral is successful you’ll automatically get an email with the goods!
Our chicken planner is fully functional as a digital planner, perfect for tablet, mobile, or desktop use. But for those who prefer tracking things on paper, it’s completely optimized for A4 printing too!
Both options contain:
- 2024 Calender With Daily Egg Tracker
- Notes & Scribbles
- Key Dates To Remember
- Your Flock Records
- Your Chicken Profile(s) (you can add additional pages/print additional pages for each of your chooks!)
- Incubation Records
- Monthly Egg Tracker
- Annual Schedule & Goals
- Monthly Priorities
- End Of Year Summary & Future Planner
- You can add additional pages/or print additional pages as required!
But, flocks aren’t made from one chicken — so don’t just stop at one referral! We’ll be releasing rewards for more referrals shortly and you will automatically receive these rewards if you’ve met the referral milestone!
Start Using Garden Lime In Your Coop!
Not to be confused with the sour citrus fruit, garden lime is made from finely ground rock, particularly limestone or dolomite.
So, out of all things, why would you possibly want to use this in your chicken coop? I mean, is it even safe?
Well, I can assure you, garden lime IS the wonder miracle you’ve been looking for, deemed as a safe method for:
Drawing moisture from the coop (from all the inevitable poops)
Repelling unwanted pests (like rats, rodents, etc.)
Eliminating and preventing mites and other insect infestations.
Limiting the growth of bacteria.
The end result? A parasite & pest-free coop that’s clean and smells fresher than a glass of homemade lemonade.
(It works almost identically to Diatomaceous Earth, but at half the price)
Important Tip: Just be sure you are using garden lime in your chicken coop, as opposed to hydrated lime which can be toxic to chickens if consumed or inhaled!
The Exception: If you’re using the deep litter method in your coop, adding garden lime can harm the natural composting of the bacteria — so in this case avoid using it!
